Many office relocations fail because the IT was an afterthought. The moving company handles the desks, chairs and other furniture, but who is there to reconnect hundreds of monitors?

Data Destruction for Retired Assets

Every hard drive and storage device you don't need to keep is wiped clean using standard NIST data destruction software. Physical shredding of the drives and devices comes next. Certificates of Destruction provided for every asset.

OUR PROCESS

4-Step Process: Plan, Disconnect, Move, Reconnect

4-Step Process: Assess, Design, Install, Test & Train

Organized workflow. One point of contact.

Organized workflow. One point of contact.

01

Plan

We start with a site walkthrough to map out what's moving, what's being recycled or donated, and what new equipment needs an install plan at the new space. If you don't have a mover lined up, we can connect you with one we trust.

Depends on the size of the project, contact our team for an exact estimate.

02

Disconnect

All workstation technology is labelled, disconnected and packed. Specialist packing teams for executive suites. Servers and network equipment are safely powered down and prepared for transport.

Evenings and weekend teams available

03

Move

IT equipment is secured and transported to the new site. Technology is offloaded from term carts and placed on assigned workstations in preparation for the reconnect.

Coordinated with the furniture movers

04

Reconnect

Every workstation is reconnected, powered up and tested. Cable management is completed. We close out with a final walkthrough alongside your onsite project lead to confirm everything is set up exactly as specified.

I work in sales for an office relocation company and whenever a client asks for IT relocation help Unio Tech is my first and only call. Jason is the best and is unbelievably professional and always goes above and beyond.

Andrew Jeffrey

I worked with UnioTech for our 40-people office move, and had a great experience. They took care of our low-voltage wiring and user pc setups. The staff is communicative, punctual and easy to coordinate with.

Yigit Karanfil

Jason and his team made the move seamlessly. It took the burden off our IT team so we can focus on what matters. He would proactively make sure setups are all aesthetically pleasing and clean. Highly recommended.

It depends on the scale of the move. For a smaller project like 50 workstations, planning 2 to 3 weeks ahead is usually enough. For a 2,000 workstation move, the planning might need to start months in advance. If you want a proper estimate, reach out to us for a free site walkthrough and a timeline estimation.
Yes. The total time an office move takes also depends on how many phases you break it into. A single-phase move is the fastest option. If you prefer to split the move across multiple phases to minimize business disruption, the overall timeline stretches out, but each phase is smaller and easier on your team. As well, projects may need to be done in phases because of construction timelines.
Yes, we work with move partners who can take care of furniture relocation. We focus exclusively on the technology side, desktop IT equipment (monitors and peripherals), printers, AV equipment, cabling, servers and other network equipment, etc.
Yes, we can coordinate to have fully screened teams handle the secure relocation of equipment.
We handle it through our ITAD service for responsible recycling. Certificates of Destruction are issued for hard drives. This is a separate line item in the quote for the project.
Yes. Low voltage cabling is one of the most critical parts of an office move to ensure your network is set up and running smoothly on day one. We install and test all cabling and, if requested during project planning, we can recycle your old cabling and install new cabling.
We can do it with minimal planned downtime during off-hours. We schedule server moves for evenings and weekends during low usage time for less impact on the business.
