A client recently asked us whether they need to reprogram their digital lockers after changing the batteries.

The short answer is no.

Most digital lockers, including systems like Digilock, do not require reprogramming after battery replacement. These lockers are designed with non-volatile memory (NVM), which means they retain their programming and user settings even when the batteries are removed.

This feature ensures that essential data, such as user access codes and settings, are preserved during battery changes. This is true for most brands of digital lockers, making battery replacement a straightforward process without the need for reprogramming.
